Who we are

Your license to use the app

Storyliner is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). These terms add the details of the free plan and of the Storyliner Pro subscription. Where the two disagree on the license itself, the Standard EULA prevails.

Free plan and Storyliner Pro

With the free plan you can keep two timelines, including the example timeline, with events, branches, characters, mentions and backup files, without time limits.

Storyliner Pro adds:

• unlimited timelines;
• invented calendars, with your own months, weeks, leap years and moons;
• place and people sheets, with alliances, wars and the story of each place;
• export of the whole timeline as a PDF or PNG image.

How the subscription works

• Storyliner Pro is offered as a monthly and a yearly auto-renewing subscription. The price and the length of each plan are shown in the app, in your local currency, before you confirm.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically for the same length and at the same price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
• You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) or from the app (Storyliner Pro → Manage Subscription). Canceling stops future renewals; Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Moving between the monthly and the yearly plan takes effect at the next renewal.
• If a free trial is ever offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription.
• Purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Storyliner Pro is not shared through Family Sharing.
• Restore Purchases, in the app, brings Pro back on a new device signed in with the same Apple ID.

If Pro ends

Nothing is deleted. Every timeline stays on your device and can still be opened, read, edited and backed up. While two or more timelines exist you cannot create new ones, and the Pro menus (places, peoples, calendar, PDF and PNG export) open the subscription sheet instead. Places, peoples and calendars you already made stay inside your timelines and keep showing on the canvas.

A backup file always opens: if it holds more timelines than the free plan keeps, the first ones that fit are imported and the others stay in the file, ready for when Pro is active again.

Your content

What you write in Storyliner is yours. It is stored only on your device; we have no copy of it and no way to see it. You are responsible for keeping backups, for example with the app’s .storyliner backup files or your device backup.

Warranty and liability

We work to keep Storyliner reliable, but the app is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live, including the statutory guarantee of conformity in the European Union.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version is published on this page with a new date. Changes to the price of an active subscription are communicated by Apple, which asks for your consent where the law requires it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim before the courts of that country.
